The basic ingredient is Mekhong which is Thailand’s first domestically produced golden spirit and is often called the ‘official spirit’ of Thailand. It is named after the River Mekhong and is a combination of distilled sugar cane, molasses and rice and is flavoured with indigenous Thai Herbs.Although known as a whisky, it is in fact much closer to rum and was first launched in Thailand in 1941 and has since become their most popular spirit.

Sabai Sabai is a blend of Mekhong, lemon juice, sugar syrup, sweet basil and soda. This cocktail is served as a welcome drink to guests in Thailand and is intended to make them feel relaxed, at ease and welcome.
